The meaning of Ademus
The word ‘Ademus’ is etymologically connected to the latin words audeo and audemus meaning ‘we dare’ and ‘at the ready’. At Ademus we value ourselves on being professional, experienced, confident and reliable. We are also daring and brave – a modern and innovative firm bringing sustainable and smart solutions for our clients. We really do think outside the box and work with you. From cadet to empowered mentor, Lina’s passions have inspired her work and her career
Born and educated in Sydney, at a young age Lina secured a cadetship with Cooper & Lybrand while she completed her Bachelor of Business from the University of Technology Sydney (UTS).
Consciously deciding to then work for smaller accounting firms, Lina developed a passion for small business and empowering women in financial literacy and business management. She has always been an advocate for gender equality in the workplace.
In 2005, Lina established her own firm and for many years was also an educator at TAFE Digital imparting her accounting, business and management skills. Lina then became Senior Partner at a private firm before establishing Ademus Business Solutions.
Admitted as a member of Chartered Accountants (CA) in 2003, Lina is also an appointed Justice of the Peace, registered Tax Agent and ASIC approved SMSF auditor. She is also currently President of the Self-managed Super Fund Auditors Association of Australia and a panel member of Inspired by Women.
